The Vigilant has seized an American fishing sehooner engaged in fishing in the waters in the vicinity of Cape North. WASHINGTON, June 1.
In connection with the seizure of the American fishing vessel, the State officials declare that American jurisdiction over the Alaskan side of the Behring Sea is absolute, and therefore there is no basis for parleying. The American revenue steamers Boar and Thetis have been ordered to Behring.
