In reply to a question in the House of Commons, Sir J. Fergusson denied the statement that cruisers and torpedo boats were being sent to protect the British sealeries in the Behring Sea.
VICTORIA (B C.), May 29,
The British Columbian papers predict a rupture between England and America, owing to the decision of the Governments of both countries to increase the strength of the squadron in Behring Strait.
