The commanding officer's parade cf No. 1 Company Dunedin Highland Rifles was held last night fn the Garrison Hall. There was a splendid muster—there being fifty on parade, including the three officers, Gaptain Gunn complimented the men on the cleanliness of their arms and uniforms', and also thanked them for their turn out on the 24th inst., and behaviour on the march. Lance-corporals Stoneham and Dempster passed examination for seniority, Lance* corporal Gillies retiring in favor of them on the ground of seniority of membership.
