A Christchurch telegram says that on the Queen's Birthday the Christchurch Club sent a second-rate football team to Leeston, and the visitors were beaten by the local club by 10 points to 4. On Saturday Sydenham Second visited Kaiapoi, and defeated the Kaiapoi men by 3 points to 2. On the Queen's Birthday the Addington First Fifteen visitod Irwell, playing the newly-formed Irwell team, known as the Southbridge Club. Addington won by 3 points to nil At Mosgiel on Saturday the Taieri Club defeated the Duncdin by 1 point, the try being obtained by G. Murdoch ; while the University defeated tho Montecillo by 3 points (a goal potted by Cook) to 1 point.
