BLENHEIM, May 23,
A young man named Augustus Lucas was charged at the Resident Magistrate's Court with wilfully setting fire to the school on April 23, and remanded to the 30th inst., bail being allowed. WELLINGTON, May 23.
The holiday here promises to be very quiet. The only festivals for to-morrow are a ball given by the mayor to Lord and Lady Onslow, for which preparations are being made on an extensive scale.
