At Kenepuru, Marlborough, the skeleton of a paroquet that is supposed to have fallen into a nest of bees, and was stung to death by those insects or smothered in the honey, has been found.
A horrible accident occurred at a fencing elub in Vienna. A fencer, making a heavy lunge, smashed his adversary 8 wire mate and drove the foil completely through his eye into the brain, killing him almost: instantaneously.
