TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Having, in consequence of information received, made inquiries at the Exhibition office as to the holders of shares and guarantors, I find that the Dunedin City and Suburban Tramway Company have not yet subscribed in any way to the funds of our great enterprise, Surely this company, which will of all local concerns directly benefit most by the crowds attending the Exhibition, should not emulate the mean parsimony of the foreign banks.
