At the Palace on Saturday night the attraction was an orange race for ladies. There were four contestants, and the result was that Misses M'Gregor and Clisby made a dead heat of it, while Mabel Hutton, who was a very good third, was heartily applauded for her skating. In the run off Miss Clisby won by a lap. Tho Engineers' Band occupied the orchestra. A wheelbarrow race, for which a large number of entries have been received, is to take place at the City Rink on Wednesday night.
