Late lo .iero, North expreoa train, 8.10 a.m. Satorday, Dkgkmbsr 24. For Northern Ports.—Per epeqial train to Chriatchurch, at 9.15 p. do. Christmas Day falling on Sunday, Monday, the 28th, will be observed as a close holiday. Mails usually despatched on Monday will be closed at 8 p.m. on Satorday, the 24th Inst., and a delivery over the counter for town letters will be made from 8 80 p.m. to 9.80 p.m. ssme evening. On Tuesday, the 27th inst., the offloo will be open from 9 a.m. till 10 a.m. The Stella will leave the Bluff for West Coast Sounds' on Monday, January 2. Mails per South express at 7.80 a m. on that day. The steamer Kahu will leave Auckland for Chatham Islands on Thursday, 29th. SAN FRANCISCO MAIL SERVICE. Registered letters at 5 p.m. on Thursday, 29th. Book packets and newspapers at 9 p.m. on Thursday, 29th. Money orders at 4 p.m. on Thursday, 29tfa. Late letters, bearing an additional single rate of postage (6d) ae a late fee, can be posted in the mail van attached to the North train leaving Dunedln railway station at 8.10 a.m. on Friday, 30th. The above mail will o'.ose (or newspapers at the Branch Post Office, Albany street, at 9 p.m., money orders at 4 p.m., registered letters fi p.m. on the 29th ; Snd for letters at 5 a.m. on the 80th. At the South Dunndin Offioe, for newspapers at 8 p m., money orders at 4 p.m., registered letters at 6 pm. on the 29th ; and for letters at S a.m. on the 80th.
