The Order Paper for to-night’s business is not yet definitely settled, nor is it expected to bo until within an hour ox two before the House meets this meeting. It is expected that the second reading of the Loan Bills will not bo taken before Wednesday, as tho Government wish to get the Native Bills disposed of first. A Cabinet meeting is now being held to consider the mu. tor. Regarding the fate of the Loan P. I's. it is considered in wed informed pobt cal erodes that thev will be carded, though t wi limit a considerable stiugije on tho imt m certain Boutbein members, who wll mi inavov. it p'l.sib'.e, to sccuie the throw 11/ out of the Auckland Loan Bill, which is to bo debated first, and, in the event of failure, will allow the twin Bill to pass after thus protesting ngabiat further borrowing. S mo other membexs (not a few of them either) expxess their determination to oppose fresh loans tooth and nail, but it is not improbable that their co.se will eventually be found to ho like that of the person indicated in Byron’s wellknown words; “And whispeiing ‘I will ne’er consent,’ consented ”
