Rabbits, loafers, and thistles are becoming a great pest in Victoria. A fish caught at Hobart Town has caused considerable discussion. Some were confident it was a salmon trout, some a brown trout, others as confident that, whatever its species, it was neither salmon, salmon trout, nor brown trout. It is to be sent to England for Dr Gitnther to solve the difficulty. It was weighed and took down the scales at lolb ,2oz. There were a good many regrets expressed that a female fish full of oya should have beto taken from the water,
