LABOUR PARTY CANDIDATE
, It was announced this afternoon by Mr. M. Moohan, national secretary of the New Zealand Labour Party, that Mr.' Robert Walls, J,P., of Dunedin, has been selected as the party's candidate in the Dunedin. North by-election, which is necessary as the result of the death of the Labour member, Mr. J. Munro.
Mr. Walls is well known in Dunedin public life. He was born and educated in Dunedin, and is a member, of the City Council, Hospital Board, and Harbour Board. . He is a past-president of the Dunedin Savings Bank, a member of the Orphans' Club, and a member of the management committee of the Navy and Mercantile Marine Club.
