OVERSEAS MAILS

Sir, —On opening a letter. I received from England on Wednesday, I found it to have been posted eight weeks ago. I have heard from my sister in England that letters going the other way have apparently gone into seclusion somewhere for a time, if the time they take to reach her is any indication. I wonder if Mr. Webb could give any: explanation of this? The letters were all air-letters. —I am, etc., etc., S.G.S.W.A.S.
