PORK WITHOUT LICENCE
David Hammond Murray, stock buyer, appeared before Mr. J. L. Stout. S.M.. in the Magistrate's Court nt Wellington yesterday charged with selling pork without a licence, pleaded guilty, and was fined £10. It. was stated that, the accused had been seen by ..a food control inspector near a Wellington butcher's shop and was apnroach"d and his car inspected, Ih the backseat were four bodies of pork. The inspector asked the accused what he \K-pn srf.h-t to do with them; and was told that 1-ir intended to give them to friends. The accused was told that he was not allowed to do so. The accused then said, "Well, you have my number. Good day," and drove away.
