-PARIS,'April 26. A court-martial sentenced Rene Pollard, a member of the staff of the American Office 'of War Information, to 15 years' imprisonment for misappropriating army stores. Pollard, who is the first civilian in Europe to face a court-martial, was also fined £12,500, with an alternative of, an additional three years' imprisonment. He mafic £8200 from illegal sales of cognac and champagne.
The production of electrjc ranges, which are in very short supply in th 6 Dominion, has been made a priority. One firm alone has been given a quota of 1500 stoves, which are required urgently.
