NEWS ABOUT TRANSFERS
Rec. 12.30 p.m. RUGBY, February 26. The War Office states that the following information relating to the transfer by the Germans of British and American prisoners of war from camps in east Germany has .iust been received: Four thousand British and American sick have left Stalag 344 for a destination in Germany as yet unknown. Fit prisoners from Stalag 344 are on the march between Boemisch Linpa and Carlsbad. Prisoners from Stalag 81 are dividing. Part are proceeding towards Cassel and part to Nuremburg. From Stalag VIIIC part are going towards Hanover and part towards Cassel. The advance parties are already Hearing their destinations. —8.0. W.
MEN FREED BY RUSSIANS LONDON, February 26. British Commonwealth prisoners of war who have been set free by the Russian advance are expected to reach Odessa in two. or three days' time. Some Americans will probably also reach' Odessa soon. Members of the British military mission in Mos- | cow have left for Odessa to meet the prisoners. -
