AUTHOR ARRESTED

WODEHOUSE AND WIFE

LONDON, Nov. 22.

It is confirmed in London that P. G. Wodehouse and his wife have been arrested by the French authorities in Paris. Details of the charge are not yet known. It is stated that questions of procedure are now under discussion between the British and French authorities.

It is recalled that Wodehouse gave several broadcasts oyer the Berlin radio dealing with his camp experiences whilst interned. Wodehouse, however, declared after the liberation of France: "I refused all offers to do propaganda broadcasts."
