Mr. McLeod Avas a member of the Council AA'hen he died on March 31 of this year, having been appointed in 1934. He took a great interest in sport, particularly Rugby football and racing, and Avas manager of the All Blacks A\'ho toured Australia in 1929. Mr. Macpherson, Avho died on July 21, Avas member for Mount Ida from 1905 to 1908. That electorate passed out of existence, and he returned to the House in 1922 as representative for Oamaru. serving from then until 1925 and from 1928 to 1935.
