beat A. J. Ross (Christchurch), 22-18; F. C. Bryan (Hutt) beat Lieutenant-Colonel Beamish (Christchurch), 26-19; C. La Roche (Durio Hill, Wanganui) beat R. W. HcCreath (Gore), 28-24; D. McClymont (Wanganui) beat H. A. Perm (Christchurch), 26-20; Mrs. Lange (Hastings) beat Mrs. A. Clark (Christchurch), 26----22; Mrs. Cole (Auckland) beat Mrs. Perm (Christchurch), 26-14. j In the New Zealand tourney, the semifinals in the open championship will be played tomorrow between C. La Roche (Wanganui) and D. McClymont (Wanganui), and Beamish (Christchurch) and Mrs. Cole (Auckland). One semi-final of the women's championship will be between Mrs. Watkins and Mrs. Lang, both of Hastings. The other semi-finalists, have still to be found.
