RUGBY, January 10,

In eight months of Atlantic convoy work not a single merchantman under the protection of escort-carrier H.M.S, Biter has been sunk. Since April, 1943, she has steamed over 45,000 miles in. the Atlantic, her aircraft patrolling the convoys always ready to pounce on U-boats. To her credit she has two Üboats sunk by combined attack by her aircraft and surface escorts, and three probably damaged by aircraft.—B.O.W.
