JEWISH PROBLEM

IMMIGRATION TO PALESTINE Rec. 9 a.m. LONDON, January 10,

Strong opposition to the British policy of limiting Jewish immigration to Palestine was voiced at the Jewish Labour Party conference, reports the Jerusalem correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain. Political partition of Palestine of any kind was also opposed. Speakers contended that large-scale Zionist immigration within the framework of a comprehensive Middle East development scheme( would benefit the Palestine and also the-Middle East Arabs and contribute to a better understanding between Jews and Arabs. Most of thd speakers expressed the view that political autonomy for the Palestine Jews and representation of their State on a post-war international body would be necessary.
