Egmont Seat. —Mr. Edwin Thomas Cox, former Mayor of Dunedin, has been chosen as the official Labour candidate for Egmont.
Timaru Seat.—Mr. Douglas Cres'swell, South Island organiser for the Democratic Soldier Labour Party, has been selected to contest tflte Timaru seat. Mr. Cresswell served in the last war and was a member of the Canterbury recruiting committee. He is widely known for broadcast talks covering such subjects as early pioneers, farming, and industry.
