Serving with the New Zealand Typhoon Squadron which recently raided Caen aerodrome in France, and of which a British group captain said: "It is probably the best of its kind in the Fighter Command today," are Flight Lieutenant I. D. Waddy, of Sedaon, who has just been promoted, Flying Officer R. J. Appleton, and Pilot Officers F. Murphy, D.F.C., N. E. Preston; of Wellington, and Flight Sergeant B. C. Thompson, of Dannevii-ke.
