BALKAN SATELLITES

(Rec. 12.50 p.m.) WASHINGTON, March 30,

Hungary, Bulgaria, and Rumania, weary of war, are attempting to soften the impact of defeat by peace feelers via neutral channels. The United Press learns this from diplomatic quarters. It adds that an indisputable authority declared that the United Nations do not intend even to discuss peace representations, because the pledge of unconditional surrender applies to the Balkan satellites as well as to Germany, Italy, and Japan.
