DIFFICULT YEAR
FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION
The annual meeting of the Wellington Football Association was held last night, the president, Mr. J. J. Roberts, presiding. The season had been satisfactory despite the difficult times, said Mr. Roberts, but it might be necessary for the association to have some financial assistance in the year ahead. He welcomed progress in the Hutt Valley. Mr. Roberts said they must continue to foster the game in the primary schools. He hoped there would be a number of entries from tlie Services this year. Mr. J. Meltzer referred to the reduction in ground fees by the City and Lower Hutt City Councils. This would improve the financial position a little, but care would be necessary.
