MR. W. H. HEMINGWAY

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, March 19. The death occurred suddenly of Mr. Wilfrid Hubert Hemingway, F.P.A.N.Z., founder of Hemingway's Correspondence Schools. He was 62 years oft age. Mr. Hemingway pioneered correspondence coaching, both in New 'Zealand and Australia, and in 1923 opened branches in America. He was the first man in New Zealand to qualify;;both in law and accountancy, and he was a member of the Chartered Accountants' Society of Australia. While abroad Mr.' Hemingway devoted much time to. his hobby of entomology. He was a" president of the Auckland branch of the Society of Accountants and of the Automobile Association, of which he was a life member. For eight years he was lecturer in law and accountancy at the Auckland University College. He is survived by his wife and:one daughter and by a son and daughter of a previous marriage. •<• •
