N.Z. MASTER BAKERS
The annual meeting of the New Zealand Master Bakers' and Pastrycooks' Association was held in Wellington this week. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr. J. F. Frew (Dunedin); vice-president. Mr. H. E. Fairey (Manawatu); council, Messrs. F. W. Cresswell (Wellington), H. E. Fairey, J A. Connon (Auckland), George R. Harker (West Coast. South Island), F. H. Hawker (Canterbury), and C. C. Lange (Southland), all re-elected; executive committee, Messrs. F. H. Hawker, C. E. Boon, and R. T. H. Norton. -~.«,,. After a discussion on the difficult man-power position in the industry, it was decided to appoint a deputation to wait upon the Minister of Man-power to press for an early clarification of thu .position.
