VICHY PERSUASION
CALL TO AIR PERSONNEL
(Rec. 11 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 29. Vichy radio broadcast a message to all aircraft personnel "who in the course of recent events have been forced to leave their bases* to return to them immediately in order to regulate their situation." •
The announcer denied rumours of serious unrest in Toulon and also that French sailors went down with their ships. He added that three destroyers were intact, that the town N was quiet, and that demobilisation of the army was being carried out in good order.
