ROSE DAY APPEAL
Right from the outbreak of the present war the Wellington Returned Services' Association has concerned itself with the problems of the modern returned soldier. Activities which have engaged its attention have included in--quiries about pensions, mufti, and other allowances, land settlement, housing, and rehabilitation. The association is at the service of the men immediately they return to their homeland from the war. All relatives, especially wives and mothers of members of the Secoiid N.Z.E.F. who are overseas, should have a special interest in the R.S.A. Rose Day appeal this year. Citizens of Wellington have responded generously in the past, and, realising the splendid work the R.S.A. is doing, and will continue to do, they are expected to make the 1942 appeal, which will be held on Friday, the most successful. . In connection with Rose Day many events have been arranged this week to bring to the fore the additional responsibilities the R.S.A. will have to shoulder in meeting its obligations to the soldier of today.
