BOWLING
Stovling tvt&ts during the weekend included a visit fey representatives ot the Wellington Bowling. Centre to the: Plimmerton Club, jrhore an enjoyable aeries of tames waa played. All club greens were well occupied on Saturday afternoon, and in many cases competition matches were played. No pennant games are being played this season, hut the flrst of a eerles Of patriotic tournaments to be held by the Centre is to take place on November 28 ancl December 12.
A community sing in aid of the Rose Day appeal will be held in the Majestic Theatre at 11.30, a.m. on Friday. A visiting servicemen's dance band will be heard and a number of items of local interest. A collection will be
