■yhe metropolitan patriotic appeal organised by the V.M.C.A. on Friday resulted iri £680 8s 5d being collected. Coh&ideripg th6> many calls made oh the public recently„ the.result. Was excellent. The directors 6f the V.M.C.A. desire.to thank the ladies and the organisations who. gave their time and energy. The money will .a handed over to the Metropolitan Patriotic Committee as part of the £ 1000 which the V.M.C.A. undertook to raise on behalf of the committee.
