AFTER LONG SERVICE

After 42 years' service with the Wellington tramways, Mr. G. Corley, successively conductor, motorman, inspector, and dispatcher, has been farewelled by his colleagues. He was congratulated on his long life of usefulness in the public service by the General Manager, Mr. L. B. Hutton, who, on behalf of the staff, ..presented him with a comfortable easy chair, with the hope that he would long be spared to take his ease in it. Another old employee, who also retired on Superannuation, was Mr. E. Minifie, roster clerk, with 38 years' service, who received a handsome tea tray as evidence of the esteem in which he was held by those associated with him in the service.
