Floral Messages by Madame Logan Brittpn, i p.m. [ :■ ' . | f THE |WORd||~ j B'BLE jL£jlnJ TRUTH YET SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US. (Roms. 5:8.) ITIHOSE who believe in the doctrine of substlX 'tutlon believe that Christ died INSTEAD Of sinners. No such thing, however, is taught in the Holy Scriptures. The doctrine of subetitution is but one of those "fables" foretold by the Apostle Paul In 2 Tim. 4:3-4 What the Scriptures teach aa can be seen from the above1 quotation is that Christ died not instead, of sinners but "FOR" sinners (see also Xuke 1:69, Roms. 8 :32, 1 Cor. 5 ;7, 2 Cor 5 :21, Gals. 3:13, Hebs. 10:20, Isa. 53 :o). All descendants of Adam are sinners and as such are alienated from God—"without God and without hope in the world"-but Christ by His sacrificial death has made it possible for sinners to '.'be reconciled to God" (Roms. o:12, Eph. 2:11-12, Eph. 4:12, Roms. 5:10, Cols. 1-21-23 2 Cor. 5:18-20, Roms. o:l). But it sinners desire that •/reconciliation," "justification," and "salvation" ■ that has been made possible through the shedding of Christ's blood they must conform to the conditions appointed _y Christ. If Christ through His sacrificial death has made it possible for unjustified sinners to receive salvation is He not justly entitled to state upon what conditions that salvation is obtainable? Christ has made it perfectly clear that those s only will receive salvation who (1) believe the Gospel He■tausht, .i.e., "the Gospel of the Kingdom of God" (Mark v 16:15-16, Roms. 1:16, 1 Cor. ,1a :1, Matt. 4:23, Matt. 9:35, Mark 1:14, Luke 4:43, Mark 10:lo>. (2) are "baptised in the nama of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins" (Mark 16:16, John 3-5 Acts 2:38. Acts 8:12, Roms. 6:3-5, Gals. 3-27-29), and (3) thereafter walk in 'newness of life" by obeying the commandments of Jesus Christ (Roms. 6:4, John 15:13-14, John 10:27----28, Luke 6:46-49, 1 John 2:4, Rev. 22:14). Thus the Scriptures declare that Jesus Christ became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him" (Hebs. 5:9). Reader, as your personal salvation Is at stake do not be led astray by superficial and sentimental reasoning. Face the facts clearly revealed in the Scriptures. We will gladly help sou and suggest your reading the book, "CHRISTENDOM ASTRAY." A copy will be sent free on application to "BIBLE TRUTH," Box 71, Wellington. TTIVIAN STREET GOSPEI. Will give you, straight from the shoulder, the UNADULTERATED TRUTH when he talks about — "HELL—THE HABITATION OF CHRISTREJECTERS" Many today believe they are too intelligent to acknowledge such a place as HELL. This does not alter the fact that HELL Is a REALITY, Christ spoke 13 times More of HELL than he did of HEAVEN. The lake of fl re __fearful thought—rolls its hideous sea of wrath and torment in one surging wave over all whose names are not found in the book of life. The CHRIST-REJECTER will surely know that there is a HELL. Every lost soul believes it there. There is not one ray of hope for anyone who has heard God's "Gospel concerning His Son Jesus Christ" (Romans 1:3) and rejected the life-giving message. On the contrary, it is definitely de- ■ clafed that "the fearful and •unbelieving shall have their part in the lake of fire." (Revelation 21:8.) But thank God many have accepted CHRIST during the CAMPAIGN, and will never see HELL (John 3:16). DO NOT MISS THIS FINAL ADDRESS. YOU MAY REGRET IT FOR ALL ETERNITY ir YOU DO.
