WEDDING

SMITH—ANDERSEN. The wedding took place recently at All Saints' Church, Kilbirnie,. of Joan Rubina, eldest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. Martinius Andersen, and Eugene Edmund, only son of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Smith, Los Angeles, U.S.A. The bride was given away by an old friend, Mr. Timothy Keating. She wore a charming powder blue frock with navy accessories and carried'a bouquet of blue irises and white cyclamen. Miss Thelma Andersen, sister of the bride, was the only bridesmaid. With her smart grey frock she wore black accessories and carried a bouquet of red cyclamen. The best man was Mr. Jasinski. At the church a guard of honour was formed by members of the Women's War Service Auxiliary. A reception was held at the Recnabite Hall, Willis Street, where the guests were received by the . bride s | mother, who wore an ensemble of saxe blue and carried a cyclamen bouquet.
