SOLDIERS' ORCHESTRA

Members of a military unit in the Wellington area are building up an orchestra from among their number, and to complete their equipment they require a string bass. They have made efforts to obtain this instrument but so far have been unsuccessful, and have sought the assistance of ' the National Patriotic Fund Board. The secretary of the board said today that he would be grateful to hear from anyone who was able to make a string bass available.
