INCREASED FEDERAL GRANT

CANBERRA, June 11

■Announcing an- additional grant of £50.000 a year to* the National Fitness Council for improving the physical; fitness of school children, the Canberra federal Minister of Health, Mr. Holloway, said the'money would be mainly spent on improving the fitness of boys in their leaving year. Thus, if the war continued for a few more years, so that it became necessary to call'bn; boys now at school to act as reinforcements, they; would, be physically fit.

The previous grant to the .Fitness Council was £20,000 a year/
