HAYWARDS RESERVE

The Department of Lands and Survey has set aside as a reserve an area of over 43 acres from the Haywards estate in the south-eastern corner of the Lower Hutt City. Last evening the Lower Hutt City Council declined to take over the, land as a domain, but indicated that it would be prepared to accept the fee simple of the land to be held as a city reserve.
