25 MILES FROM SINGAPORE

(Rec. 1 p.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 28

A radio report from Tokio issued by the Domei agency today claimed that the Japanese forces in central Malaya advanced 28 miles down the Johore railway, and were within 25 miles of Singapore Island.
