REPORTED

LONDON, January 28,

No ground fighting is reported on the Batan Peninsula in the latest Washington communique dealing with the Philippines.

In the Subig Bay area the Japanese landed some relatively small numbers of troops, and the enemy was active in reconnaissance flights.
