NEW MATRON WELCOMED

The attendance at the Citizens' Day Nurseries for the month was 473, reoorted the matron at the recent committee meeting, at which Mrs. David Coutts presided. Regret at the resignation in November of the matron, Mrs. Lieut.-Colonel H. D. McHugh) provided Helsen, was expressed by the committee, who paid tribute to the wonderful i service she had given over a period of years. Regret was also expressed at the resignation (in view of her marriage) of Nurse Davies. Miss Collinge, who has been appointed matron, was welcomed. Mrs. Scholefield and Miss Townsen<2 were appointed visitors for the month. The committee is grateful to the following, among others, for remembering the children at all times:—Rotary Club, Commercial Travellers, and the Minister of Internal Affairs.
