WEDDING IN SYDNEY
BRIDE AND BRIDEGROOM NEW ZEALANDERS
At St. John's Church, Darlinghurst, Sydney, on January 7, the wedding took place of Miss Joyce Garnett to Sergeant-Major Lawrence Jowett.
The bridegroom was recently recalled from the Middle "East to take up a position as tactics instructor to the Army in Australia.
An ensemble of white American crepe adorned with a shoulder spray of frangipani, and a white swathed turban were worn by the bride, who is the eldest daughter of the late Mr. H. C. Garnett and Mrs. Garnett, of Lower Hutt. The bridegroom is the only son of Mr, S. Jowett, of Auck-
land, and Mrs. B. Riches, of Newcastle N.S.W.
After the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. C. A. Lucas, there was a small reception at the home of Mrs. A. I. Lawrence, at Ocean Avenue, EdgeclifT
