HIT BY FLEET PLANES

LONDON, October 10,
Aircraft of the Fleet Air Arm have struck again at the enemy's supplies to his troops on the northern Russian frontier, and hit four ships. , At dawn on Wednesday they attacked shipping and communications in the West Fiord area of Norway, that is, the area between the Lofoten Islands and the Norwegian mainland. Some planes had to turn' back because of the bad weather, but
others made successful'attacks,
A supply ship of 1000 tons was hit and left burning, and the pylons of an electrical supply system were destroyed.
Later more attacks were made. A 1500-ton ship was hit and abandoned by her crew, and two supply ships of about 2000 tons, in convoy, were both hit.
All the R.A.F. aircraft returned safely. .
