RUGBY LEAGUE
A team from the Army met Petone in one of the Rugby League matches on Saturday afternoon. The soldier side won by 6 points to 5. V. Scott and Broadhead each scored a try for the winners, and Winiata scored a try for Petone, Solomon also kicking a penalty goal. Other results were:— Miramar 17, Central 3. For Miramar Woods scored two tries and Farrell one, Bouzald. conVerting all three and kicking a penalty- goalJ, for Central Costello scored a try. Randwick 8, Petone East 6. For Randwick Rangiwhetu and Ryan each scored a try and Perkins kicked a penalty goal: for the losers Bolton and Skeet each scored a try.
