Britain has received from the United States about 4700 planes since the beginning of 1939, one-fifth of which wei'e trainers, and.the current rate of flow to Britain is about 450 planes a month, says the newspaper "P.M." •

Nearly 1,000,000 tons of, American shipping have been sold to Britain, and a smaller but helpful tonnage has Been transferred to the foreign registry foe use in belligerent waters, it says.

The Maritime Commission has now completed a pool of 2,000,000 tons for transfer to Britain, while it is expected that 1,000,000 more tons will be provided in the new ships to be completed within a year.

In addition, vbetween 500 and 700 13-ton tanks have been shipped to Empire countries.

"P.M." adds: "Our supplies of war weapons and materials are not sufficient to permit offensives, and the shipments must be increased manyfold."
