ST. PETER'S CHURCH
There was a good attendance of panishioners at the recent annual meeting of St. Peter's Church, Willis Street, the vicar, the Yen. Archdeacon W. Bullock, presiding. The churchwardens' report and .statements of accounts, which were adopted, disclosed a muchimproved financial position owing largely to the generosity of an anonymous donor, a bequest from the late Miss I. M. Morrah's estate, and the successful efforts of the various ladies' organisations^ of the parish. The results, achieved were particularly gratifying, as the parish 'had, during . the year, to face a substantial portion of the cost Of, the external painting of the church. The vestry hopes to be able to have internal and decoration put in hand in the near future.
The vicar nominated Mr. R. H. Webb as his warden for the coming year, and the following officers were elected:— People's warden, Mr. C. T. Cox; vestry, Messrs. W. J. Miller, H. G. Didsbury, R. W. Jones, H. F. Harper, A. W. Jones, L. Lawrence, C. M. Bowden, F. R. Jones, G. C. Smith, F. C. Pears; auditor, Mr. W. W. Sherring; synodsmen, Messrs. RT H. Webb, C. T. Cox, and A. W. Jones.
