UNIVERSITY HOCKEY

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, May 21. Fine weather and dry, well-grassed fields made playing conditions excellent when the New Zealand University hockey tournament began. In the men's section every university college in the Dominion ,is represented. Massey College, holder of the Seddon Stick, is defending its title. Canterbury and Otago are the only southern colleges j to enter teams in the women's section.

Results: —Men's section: Auckland A 8, Victoria 0; Otago 3, Canterbury 2; Auckland • B 1, Massey College 0. Women's section: Otago 5, Auckland B 0; Auckland A 1, Canterbury 0.
