The mutual benefits derived from the Anglo-Spanish trade agreement are shown in the news that since February 1 16 ships have taken 66,750 tons of British wheat and other cereals to Spain and that another six are on the way carrying a further 30,000 tons. In addition 100,000 tons of wheat from British stocks in Argentina has been set aside for Spanish requirements.
On the other hand a consignment of sweet oranges from Spain is on the way to Britain.
