SERIOUS INJURIES
UNUSUAL ACCIDENT

PALMERSTON N., This Day.
A fracture of the skull was received by a young man, Sherlock • Simms, of Palmerston North, yesterday when the locking ring of a motor-truck wheel sprang off under the pressure of the inflated tyre. Simms was in the act of changing the wheel. He was taken to hospital, and his condition is serious.
