HARDY—PARGETTER.

Bowls of blue and pink lupins decorated the Vivian Street Baptist Church on the occasion of the marriage of Elspeth Jean, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry A. Pargetter, Wellington, and Frank Fortnum, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. William B. Hardy. Lower Hutt. The officiating minister was the Rev. Lawrence A. North. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a beautiful gown of silver embossed angel skin, with a long tulle veil and headdress, and carried a bouquet of white roses and maidenhair fern. The three bridesmaids, Misses j Elaine Nicol, Helen Hardy, and Nina Morshead, wore semi-Victorian dresses of white stiffened net over white taffeta. Their bouquets and headdresses were of pink roses and delphiniums. , The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. H. B. Hardy. During the signing of the register. Mrs. William Boardman sang "When Thy Dear Eyes, Beloved," by Lassen, the bride's great-uncle, Mr. Charles Collins, officiating at the organ.
