TOKIO EDITORIAL COMMENT (Received December 13, 10 a.m.) TOKIO, December 12. An editorial in the "Asahi," commenting on English and American pressure on Japan, says that the new British loan of £10,000,000 to Chungking synchronises with tihe extension of American restrictions on iron and steel exports. It is obviotis that the two actions were taken in concert, as part of collective pressure against Japan. Such a flagrant manifestation of hostility towards Jajpan by Britain and America will stiffen Chungking's resistance and thus prolong the Sino-Japanese conflict and intensify the rivalry between Nanking/ and Chungking.
